This would also mark as valid an email address starting with a special character including “.”

Most email addresses won’t have all those special characters, the below one allows only “.” and “_”:

“[a-zA-Z0-9]+[a-zA-Z0-9\\.\\_]*[a-zA-Z0-9]+@[a-zA-Z0-9\\-]+(\\.[a-zA-Z]+)+”

I read the Summer 11 release notes and see that Jigsaw integration is going GA. We can use it to get Account info for free and have to subscribe to Jigsaw for Contact info.
