SO. MANY. EVENTS. THIS. WEEK.

I’m not kidding, I don’t even have the space for an introduction this time. I had to cherry pick the best events for the upcoming week because there are just so many. So sit back, open up your calendar and let’s get planning!

Tuesday, August 25

In July, Salesforce hosted a Camp Success half day event. Well if you missed that one, you are in luck! On Tuesday, August 25th from 10am to 1pm Camp Success is returning. There aren’t as many sessions this time around, but at least you don’t have to make as many decisions on what session you want to attend.

Who is ready for the holidays?! Me!! And clearly so is Salesforce. At 10:30am Salesforce Commerce Cloud is going to help you prepare for the holidays in B2C Commerce Holiday Readiness: Commerce & Marketing Strategies to Engage the Holiday Shopper. The holidays can be a stressful time of year, and with the pandemic it will be even more stressful. This event will help you acquire and retain new customers by teaching you acquisition, engagement, checkout, fulfillment, and retention, so this time around the holidays will be a little less stressful.

One of two panel discussions taking place on Tuesday will start at 3pm (PST). Change Management and Deployment Best Practices — A Panel Discussion is being hosted by the Salesforce user group in Sacramento, CA. Joining this panel will be Russ Osterman, Jesse Lingo and Mike Gerholdt who all have different and broad experiences in this topic. This was a highly requested topic and they will even talk about the DevOps Salesforce recently announced.

Then at 4:30 (PST) the San Francisco, CA and Sunnyvale, CA WIT groups are joining forces to host WiT: Women Tech Charge Series. This will be a panel discussion featuring entrepreneur women in the Salesforce community. They will be informing viewers on how they made it, how to start a company, the future and much more. The guest speakers will consist of Geraldine Gray, Rebe de la Paz, and Andrea Tarrell.

Thursday, August 27

Even though many of us have been working remotely for months now, people are still struggling to adjust, especially when it comes to teamwork. If this is you, then consider attending Effective Remote Teamwork with Mike Wolfson at 11:30 (MST) on Thursday, August 27th. Mike has been working remotely a majority of his life, so he will be talking about the challenges and provide tips and techniques on how to avoid them. This session is involved with its viewers, so make sure to come prepared with any questions or your story on how you are handling the work-from-home life. Additionally, they will be raffling off a certification voucher, so make sure to attend!

If you are a partner and located in America then you should attend AMER Partner Focus Live at 11am (PST). With guest speakers such as Kori O’Brien, Andy Kofoid, and Evan Goldstein you will be encouraged to continue leading together and keeping up that customer service Salesforce is known for. They will be discussing managing a cloud business during the pandemic and economy, growing your business, trends in the marketplace and how partners and sales in Salesforce can collaborate more often and effectively. I’ve been registered for this event, so you should be too.

Once you are done with that, you can head right on over to Reimagining Business as Usual at 12pm. With guest speakers Ryan Aytay, Matt Mullenweg and Zing Shaw, featuring Robin Roberts from Good Morning America as the moderator, they will guide you through how leaders are responding to the pandemic around the world and the racial injustices happening nationally. Any person in a management position should attend this talk, as they will be discussing how to redefine and restructure your business, addressing company culture and accountability and finally, what the future holds and how to best prepare for that.

Last but not least, wrapping up the week the Fort Collins Admin Group will be hosting an informal sharing and learning session. In Share and Learn Session, the goal is to have participants share the challenges they have been trying to overcome. The group’s goal is to help you work on that challenge and make it difficult no more. Additionally, if you have any Salesforce technology you want to talk about, bring it up!
